had youth meeting today.
met daniel at the sch bus stop there lar.
so we took bus tgt.
he told me sth abt 80-20.
he said, this applies to almost everything.
even in your studies.
like, 20% of what you studied will actually cover that 80% of the paper, while that 80% of what you studied will cover only 20% of your paper.
that 20% which will actually be that 80% is the concepts of that subject.
once you get your concepts right, you will be able to do 80% of the paper.
yea quite true eh.

in youth meeting tday, talked abt sth which probably occupies like, 50-80% of our minds.
we talked abt friendship.
pastor actually covered 7 points.
i shall see how much i can recall.
being a fren to someone is not abt satisfying your own needs.
being a fren means to serve and not to BE served.
through serving other ppl and satisfying other ppls' needs, you will find your own needs being satisfied too.
and your frens are a gift from God.
and God use them as instruments to help you in your life.
to satisfy your needs.
and,
Jesus came down to the world to serve the people of the world, even tho we sinners dont deserve it at all.
and being a fren means to be vulnerable.
vulnerable as in, when you trust someone, your fren, you know you will be hurt in this frenship.
but taking the risk to trust in this person will actually help you to grow.
be prepared to get hurt anytime, but must also realise that you yourself will hurt others as well.
afterall, we are born into an imperfect world, and we are all imperfect human beings.
Jesus came into the world and he was betrayed by judas, and denied by peter 3 times.
but He still considered them as His frens.
after He died and rose again, He went back to peter and asked him if he still love Him 3 times.
this shows that He still loves them, and treasures the love that they show to Him, tho betrayed by them.
being a fren means to be available, being there for your frens all the time.
being present.
being a fren means to show your flaws to your fren, so that he or she can correct you.
and you two can work as frens to become better people.
you build each other up.
Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
being a fren means to show your love for that person.
Proverbs 17:17 says "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity."
being a fren also means to avoid a perfectionist's frame of mind.
knowing that all of us are not perfect, take away that idealistic mindset cz it will only make things worst for you.
cz being a human, your fren will definitely not meet your expectations, and you will only end up getting upset and all disappointed.
but that does not mean that you dont work towards perfection together.
build your frenship on the word of God too.
